Konica Minolta brave the Great Ocean Road!

Story

Hi Everyone,

As you know Konica Minolta is a Major Sponsor of PROJECT FUTURES and the fight against human trafficking and modern day slavery.

We have our very own Jim Tzikas from Melbourne, Steve Connolly from Brisbane and Steve Davis-Raiss from NSW all participating in this month's PROJECT FUTURES Challenger event - A three day hike along the Great Ocean Road!  The trek begins in the early hours of Friday 30th January and finishes late in the evening on Sunday 1st February.

We would like to raise $3000 in support of their combined efforts on what will no doubt be a challenging task!  All funds raised will go towards the Salvation Army's Trafficked and Slavery House and Freedom Advocates Project.  For information on this project click here: http://projectfutures.com/projects/

Kindly click 'Donate Now' to make a secure online donation.

All donations over $2 are tax deductible and you will be issued with a DGR receipt via email as soon as you make a donation.

Thanks so much for your support!

PROJECT FUTURES Trust

PROJECT FUTURES has recently been approved for deductible gift recipient status (DGR) for our Australian based projects for any donation over $2!

We currently support two Australian projects who are working to combat human trafficking and sexual exploitation:

1. The Salvation Army's Safe House for Trafficked Women has been in partnership with PROJECT FUTURES since June 2011. The Safe House provides supported accommodation for women in Sydney and women are offered support by way of crisis and longer term assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Casework focuses on holistic support including financial assistance, access to legal, medical and mental health services, education, employment services, rights education, social support, living skills, personal development and recreational activities. We also support The Freedom Advocates Project within our partnership which empowers survivors to engage in advocacy activities aimed at ending human trafficking and slavery. Participants are offered formal training and practical support to deliver community education, peer mentoring and policy recommendations, to improve the response of community and government agencies. The goal of the project is to ensure survivors are given a voice in the creation of programs and policies designed to assist them.

Please give generously and support the amazing work these organisation provide.
